International Session
The International Session organized by the JSME International Affairs Committee aims to provide opportunities to share and exchange knowledge, ideas and opinions on medical and health professional education with foreign colleagues and experts through research presentations and discussions in English. All interested in participating in this poster session are welcome to apply.
Abstract Submissions for the International Session
The International Affairs Committee of the JSME welcomes the submission of English abstracts of original papers covering any topic in medical education. Papers may include original research (comprehensive or pilot studies), research reviews, case studies, and educational techniques. All presentations will be in the form of posters.

The submission can be accepted only via online system on the AMARYS. JTB web site.*
Abstracts title:< 30 words
Authors’ names :maximum 7 persons
Authors’ affiliations :institution or hospital
Text:should be structured into Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
   Abstracts must be within 250 words.
All the presentations will be prepared in the form of posters with short oral presentation.
Categories
1. Early Career Investigators : Japanese Investigators with less than 7 years of JSME membership can apply to this category. Experienced researchers will give advice during poster viewing. Please apply to the Mentoring Program organized by the committee of Medical Education Research Development of JSME.
2. Investigators from Asia-Pacific Region : Investigators from West-Pacific and South-East Asian countries (except Japan); Travel Award (50,000 JPY) will be offered to the first authors of selected poster presentations based on evaluation of the abstract. Australia, China, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Fiji, Laos, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Korea, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, and Taiwan.
3. Investigators from all other regions including Japan : Anybody can apply to this category.
Review, Selection, Confirmation of Acceptance, Awards
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed and selected by the members of the International Affairs Committee of the JSME.
Confirmation of acceptance will be sent by e-mail by the end of April 2015.
Travel Award will be selected during this process, upon which the first authors of the selected abstracts will be notified.
Award for Academic Excellence will be offered during the conference based on evaluation of the abstracts, posters, and presentations in each category.
Poster Presentation
The international session will be held in the evening of July 24.
1. For poster size, we recommend 110 cm (width) x 160 cm (height).
Leave 20 x 20 cm blank in the top left corner of the poster for the poster number which will be provided at the conference.)
The poster area is located in the snow Hall B at Niigata Convention Center. The poster numbers on the poster boards will be supplied by the secretariat.
2. Poster presentation is allowed 10 minutes. (6minutes for presentation and 4 minutes for Q&A)
3. Please stay in the vicinity of your poster no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of presentation.
4. You could display the poster on the poster board by pins. Pins will be supplied by the secretariat at the poster board.
5. You should remove your poster during the time of removal. If your poster are still displaying, your poster will be removed by the secretariat.

Awards Ceremony
Award winners of the international session will be announced at the banquet on July 24.
The exact schedule of the program remains pending. When fixed, it will be informed on the Web page as soon as possible.

We strongly encourage the first authors of the International Session to attend the banquet (free of charge).
Financial Support
We are happy to announce that the conference office will waive the registration (12,000 JPY) and reception fees (5,000 JPY) for all non-Japanese attending from overseas who are first authors of an International Session presentation.
